Donny Henry may have started out in Dallas, but his heart found its home in the dust and soul of Red Dirt country. His journey began behind the strings, including a 2005 opening set for Cory Morrow that he still counts as a career highlight. By the time he landed his first on-air gig in Woodward back in 2007, he was hooked on the grit and honesty of the Texas-Oklahoma sound.

A musician since he was eight years old, Donny hasn’t put the guitar down yet—he’s still writing and performing today. When he’s not holding down the fort at The KAGE, he’s usually at home in a fierce game of pool or darts with his wife, Rebecca.

Keep an eye out for him around the Arkansas River Valley; whether he’s on stage or grabbing a bite, he’s always out there supporting the local music that keeps our corner of the world humming.
